Week in Washington Planning team
The annual End Mountaintop Removal Week in Washington is an event organized by the Alliance for Appalachia, bringing together over 150 citizens from the Appalachian region and across the nation who care deeply about health, clean water and land, and social justice. The Week in Washington is an integral part of our work to connect resident to the halls of power in DC, with participants attending meetings with congresspeople and senators of both parties from nearly every state as well as meetings with officials as federal agency. In past years this week has been spent educating people in Washington and across the nation about the Clean Water Protection Act.
