Regional Citizens Enforcement Summit

January 25 - January 27, 2012

From January 25^th-27^th, The Alliance for Appalachia we will be hosting a regional Citizens Regulatory Enforcement Summit at Virginia’s Hungry Mother State Park in Virginia to discuss the potential for  regional citizens’ enforcement collaboration.

Citizen activists working on air and water monitoring throughout the region will come together to share information and ideas about their local work. While there, we hope to develop a plan for how The Alliance could support regional work in this area. Specifically, we have been discussing the potential of a regional citizens’ enforcement campaign that compiles and leverages local data, as well as the potential of a monitoring equipment library.
